Fundamentals of Oral Communication   

This is an introductory course in the art and process of communicating with people in a variety of environments and contexts. This class provides students with insight and tools from communication research to analyze communication situations and develop effective, ethical messages appropriate to purpose, audience, context and medium. The course emphasizes developing basic communication skills in listening, assertive communication, self-analysis, presentations, and managing conflict.
